Success, and Some Gratitude...

This past week was a good one...tested consistently everyday, hooked up a sensor, worked out 3 mornings, and kept an open dialog about my diabetic doins. Did not always see numbers that I loved, but I saw numbers. After being in the dark a good portion of the time, I am pleasantly surprised that they are not worse. Onward.

We had Ellie's birthday party today. I am so completely full of pride when I think of my little girl, and how much she has grown. For whatever reason, five is a big year in my mind. It's a marker of some sort...we both made it! Made it out of babyhood, toddler trials, preschool woes, and now we are into new territory. New territory is always a little scary. The unknown always does that to me.

I have had some great support for my blogging since my last post. It's amazing what happens when you reach out and ask for support. You get it. Unreal! It was that easy? Why do I make it so difficult for people to help me? It would be so much easier to just have a little grace and be open to the support. I am grateful for a wonderful family who will support me...all I had to do was ask.
