I can do this, clearly...

...here is evidence that control of my diabetes is within my grasp. For the duration of both of my pregnancies, I maintained an A1C of between 5-6.5. The results show: that's perfection.

  1. Oh, Chellis... I remember seeing you re-copy notes in the study lounges of 1 and 2C. I can so relate to you as a fellow perfectionist. My number arch-nemesis is the tag they sew into my clothes or the one on the scale. I so admire your courage in starting this blog. I can vividly remember the first time I saw you take your blood sugar and give yourself insulin... i had never known anyone with diabetes and I was in shock. Now diabetes has taken over my family life as my father has type 2 diabetes (though he is in full denial- when his blood sugar came back at 170 he told the doctor that I made him a great cake for Christmas and that must be why his blood sugar was so high) I carefully plan out the menu for dinner parties, hid food that might cause a spike. I wish you the best on this journey!
